You can't beat the Hudson Valley for wedding venues! There are so many places with grand scenic views, beautiful intimate spaces, and attentive service.

With so many great options, finding the perfect venue can feel like a difficult task. You have to balance your needs and priorities, your family concerns, and your desired aesthetics...not to mention find the best food! The venues on this page are all event spaces in the lower and mid-Hudson Valley region of New York that deserve your consideration. My goal with this venue guide is to provide you with info to help you make the best decision for your wedding.

Venues reviewed here include The Garrison, Mountainville Manor, The Grandview, Le Chateau, and Hollow Brook Golf Club. Scroll down to check out the details for each place! All of the info comes from my experiences working at each venue!

The Garrison

Garrison, NY

  • The BEST view. Nothing is better than having your outdoor ceremony looking out on the World's End section of the Hudson River, which winds off into the distance and is surrounded by mountains and cliffs.
  • Sunset is epic here, with westward views taking advantage of the dancing light shining off the river below.
  • The reception space is surrounded by glass windows, which gives all of your guests a chance to soak in the view.
  • There are so many trendy and delicious restaurants nearby in Cold Spring, and for those who don't mind driving 20 minutes north or south, even more in Beacon or Peekskill.
  • There are also a ton of cute area Bed and Breakfasts for you or guests who would like to make a weekend trip of your wedding.
  • The spacious grounds have plenty of space for all of your events, activities, and photos.

Mountainville Manor

Mountainville, NY

  • James Beard awarded chef who creates AMAZING food
  • Staff is super attentive to details and very professional...I have seen them handle extenuating, unforeseen circumstances with empathy and the type of confidence that comes from experience
  • Beautiful grounds in a quiet corner of the Hudson Valley
  • Intimate mansion vibe
  • Wonderful prep rooms with great light

The Grandview

Poughkeepsie, NY

  • The cocktail hour food is AWESOME, and dinner is well prepared. It feels like an individual plate, not a mass-produced catered event.
  • The view of Mid-Hudson bridge is fantastic, and the westward facing view provides front row seats to gorgeous sunsets over the Hudson River.
  • It is more affordable than many other area venues.
  • Brand new bridal suite/guest lobby with restrooms is beautiful and super functional.
  • The outdoor ceremony space is right next to cocktail hour and reception, spacious, and beautiful.
  • There is an indoor ballroom for bigger events.
  • There is an attached restaurant, where they can do pre-event dinners.
  • Vendors are given a table in the back of reception area so they can see the reception and aren't worried about missing important events.

Le Chateau

South Salem, NY

  • This is in prime foliage country. Come here during the fall, even if it's to just drive around, appreciate the scenery, and get a cider!
  • Sunset from the ledge is iconic. Everyone gets an amazing photo at the rock wall overlooking the valley.
  • The indoor space is beautifully appointed and well maintained. It is a mix of quiet sitting room, modern lodge, and classy ballroom.
  • There are getting-ready rooms for both of you, right down the hall from each other.
  • The outdoor ceremony space is spacious and the landscaping is stunning. Photos in either direction have awesome backdrops.

Hollow Brook Golf Club

Cortlandt Manor, NY

  • The country club is a one-stop venue, with everything provided and so easily accessible. The cocktail hour area and reception space flow beautifully and look out over the rolling hills of the scenic golf course
  • SO many iconic locations for photos!
  • There are so many staff members available to help make your day the easiest and best possible
